New Blog

I've been very neglectful of my old blog, Multifarious Musings. My last published post was in April of this year and, prior to that was a post from September of 2014! My readership of that blog, though small, is fairly loyal and I can't help but feel some guilt in my negligence in producing some read worthy content on that web page. It's not that I haven't made some attempts to produce material for the blog. In total there are six unfinished drafts on the post list. But publishing a blog post is akin to publishing a piece for a newspaper or magazine. The posts are invariably topical or seasonal and if not published while they're hot, they are pretty much irrelevant. For example, I doubt anyone  wants to read of my Autumn escapades in the middle of the Christmas season.

Another problem I often find myself facing is the choice of what to write. To that issue, the name of my old blog "Multifarious Musings" can actually be something of a hindrance. The subject spectrum is far too broad. I find myself spending far too much time trying to decide what to write instead of sitting down and simply putting words and pictures to computer screen.

I decided that what I needed was a fresh start with a slightly more limited perspective. The old adage, "Write what you know." comes into play here. For the past few years, photography has been my primary extracurricular pursuit. I've decided that what I will present here are photos with some text describing the adventure or experience in making them. The perspective will be almost entirely photographic. I want to share a vision of life from the standpoint of one who has a passionate interest in making images of it. For readers not interested in the nuts and bolts of photography, I'll try to keep technical detail to a minimum. At the very least there will be some (hopefully) good and interesting pictures.

Stay tuned. This could be kinda cool!

...more later (Yeah, I'm keeping that tag line! )
